Paris Saint-Germain took all three points against Auxerre at the Parc des Princes on Sunday afternoon, winning 5-0 to bring the curtain down on the final stretch of the season ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring in the opening minutes, but he was also at the centre of some controversy because of an ugly gesture he made at an opponent at half time, as both teams were walking down the tunnel and towards the dressing rooms.

Mbappe makes ugly gesture at opponent in the tunnel at half time

Although Mbappe started walking in at half time looking happy and waving, something must have changed.

He grabbed his private parts while looking towards his left at the Auxerre players walking in, with the score at 1-0 at that time.

Donovan Leon, the Auxerre backup goalkeeper, was closest to Mbappe, although it's not fully clear who the striker was talking to and who the gesture was directed at.

Mbappe's 2022/23 season

Mbappe now has 19 goals in 20 games this season for PSG in all competitions, so he heads to the World Cup full of confidence.

But, he heads to Qatar with another controversy to his name, not the first he has been involved in this season.
